"The Benefits of Therapeutic Exercise and Physical Activity in Long Term Care" - on Advances in Long Term Care, Medicine, produced in cooperation with AMDA
As people are living longer than ever before with a variety of chronic conditions, modified physical activity can help older patients regain or retain functionality. Indeed, physical therapy is also essential to the recovery of patients who have undergone elective or emergency surgeries. Dr. Tim Fox, founder and executive director of Fox Rehabilitation in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and Mimi Jacobs, founding executive director of the non-profit Fox GERI: Geriatric Education & Research Institute, advocate for the benefits of therapeutic exercise in improving quality of life for all patients.
